QuantumShield Welcomes Dr. Sally Sun as Testing & Standards Advisor

Claremont, CA | March 1, 2025 – QuantumShield Technologies is honored to announce that Dr. Sally Sun has joined the company as a Testing & Standards Advisor, bringing over 20 years of experience in battery testing, safety standards, and energy storage technologies.
Dr. Sun, a recognized leader in the energy storage field, holds a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University and currently serves as a Technical Manager at Applied Technical Services (ATS). Her expertise spans the development and application of U.S. and international battery testing standards, including safety assessments, performance evaluations, and certification testing. Prior to her role at ATS, Dr. Sun was the Director of Technology Development at Electric Applications Incorporated (EAI), where she spearheaded battery testing programs and contributed to industry best practices.
Her early research laid the foundation for cross-disciplinary innovations, including hydrogen storage using chemical hydrides and converting CO₂ into jet fuel via algae. Since 2010, she has dedicated her focus to advancing battery safety through rigorous testing protocols, helping the industry establish robust frameworks for evaluating emerging technologies.
At QuantumShield, Dr. Sun will provide strategic guidance as Testing & Standards Advisor, ensuring that QuantumShield’s sodium-ion battery products meet and exceed global safety benchmarks. Her insights will play a pivotal role as QuantumShield pioneers safer, more sustainable sodium-ion battery solutions for automotive, energy storage, and industrial markets.
