Claremont, CA | May 1, 2025 – QuantumShield Technologies is pleased to announce that Dr. Loren Martin has officially joined the company as a Strategic Advisor, further strengthening QuantumShield’s vision for innovation and growth in the sodium-ion battery sector.

Dr. Martin brings a distinguished background that bridges academia, and industry, with over two decades of experience leading groundbreaking initiatives across business strategy, partnerships, and operational scaling. He currently serves as Associate Vice Provost of Research, Innovation & Partnerships at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI), where he also holds the prestigious George B. and Joy Rathmann Endowed Professorship.

Dr. Martin’s leadership experience spans roles as Chief Scientific Officer at Alter Behavioral Health, Chief Data Officer at Azusa Pacific University, and co-founder of Mindfuli, a virtual mental-health platform. At KGI, he is renowned for shaping growth strategies, negotiating high-value industry alliances, and mentoring startups in areas such as fundraising, intellectual property, regulatory navigation, and go-to-market execution. He also serves on the Governing Committee for NIIMBL and advises the California Department of Health Care Services.

With a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and advanced training from the UC Davis MIND Institute and California National Primate Center, Dr. Martin’s cross-disciplinary expertise aligns perfectly with QuantumShield’s mission to deliver safer, more efficient, and eco-friendly energy solutions.

In his advisory role, Dr. Martin will provide strategic guidance on business development, partnerships, manufacturing site selection, and corporate strategy, supporting QuantumShield’s goal of building a resilient and sustainable sodium-ion battery ecosystem in the U.S.
