QuantumShield Welcomes Chao Zuo as Strategic Business Advisor

Claremont, CA | Dec 1, 2024 – QuantumShield Technologies is pleased to announce that Mr. Chao Zuo, a globally recognized expert in e-mobility and battery systems, has joined the company as Strategic Business Advisor.

Mr. Zuo brings over 18 years of leadership experience in the battery and e-mobility sectors, spanning advanced materials (BASF), battery design and manufacturing (A123 Systems, IntePower), and e-propulsion and chassis system integration (Peugeot Citroen, Saleen, Canoo, UPower, Hozon Auto). His career, marked by pivotal roles in the United States, France, and China, reflects a unique ability to bridge global markets, technologies, and partnerships.

As Strategic Business Advisor, Mr. Zuo will guide QuantumShield’s technical roadmap, product portfolio strategy, procurement approach, development planning, and project management, drawing on his experience leading groundbreaking R&D initiatives and system integration projects.

Mr. Zuo’s career highlights include:

• As Chief Battery Engineer at Hozon Auto, he spearheaded power battery system development, technology roadmaps, and the creation of Integrated Energy Cabin and Skateboard Chassis products.

• At BASF, he led innovation projects at the E-mobility Innovation Center for APAC, building strategic partnerships with OEMs and suppliers.

• As a founding team member at UPower, he developed an electric skateboard chassis integrating power, thermal, and autonomous systems.

• At Canoo, he established the e-Propulsion Department, localized systems for the U.S. and China, and provided battery technology guidance for Yuncai Group.

  
  

Mr. Zuo holds an M.S. in Materials Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Wuhan University. His extensive network and proven leadership in driving R&D teams under resource constraints make him an invaluable addition to the QuantumShield team.
